Grimaldi Lines furtherly increase its presence in Sardinia by adding new lines and more frequency in its offer of connection to/from the island. The announced new brand route Civitavecchia-Olbia will start on 18th April with the first departure of the new passenger / freight ferry Cruise Olbia, with capacity for 1600 passengers and about 2000 linear meter for cargo.
Starting from June, the Livorno > Olbia line will double its frequency offering 2 departures every day from each port with 8 hours of transit time, thanks the deployment of a second ship, the “Cruise Smeralda”, in addition to the Zeus Palace already operating on this route. In order to better absorb the demands arising from transport companies, Grimaldi Lines will introduce during next weeks even a pure cargo ship on the Livorno > Olbia with 4000 linear meters of capacity intake which will perform departure every day from both ports.
To support and reinforce its investment plan in Sardinia, Grimaldi Lines has also recently opened its official branch in the island through the agency Grimaldi Sardegna Srl, with offices in Cagliari, Olbia and Porto Torres and with 30 employees in its staff.
